Imagine if you will the sun setting on a backdrop of wild natural beauty as the drums begin to softly echo through the peaks. Blazing fires light up the night as the moon watches over the proceedings with a silvery gaze until the first rays of sun break the horizon. Sounds like a dream? well not any more, we are putting together the first Drum 'til Dawn event to be held in the stunning surroundings of the Brecon Beacons.

 

Plans are still being formulated but here is a rough itinerary:
 
FRIDAY
  Arrive early evening have a light supper and get to know everyone around a big farmhouse table.
  We are looking at running a bus from the nearest train station / bus station
SATURDAY
  Enjoy a hearty breakfast
  Late arrivals for those joining us on the Saturday Morning (again we are looking at running a bus to collect people from the nearest station)
   
  MORNING
  Take an excursion possibly to a nearby waterfall for some elemental inspired drumming (may involve some rambling / light hiking)
  or...
  Take part in the first part of a shamanic drumming workshop
  or...
  Relax and do your own thing
   
  Lunch is Served (those on the excursion will be provided food)
   
  AFTERNOON
  Return from excursion
  Take part in the second part of the shamanic drumming workshop.
   
  EVENING
  At dusk the fires are lit and the party starts, which will include a hog roast and much more...
SUNDAY
  MORNING
  Party ends at dawn and everyone who managed to stay up the whole night can collapse in their beds.
  For others just rising a light breakfast will be on offer
   
  Lunch is provided for anyone not snoring
   
  AFTERNOON
  A drumming session and closing circle
   
  EVENING
  Everyone is to depart by around 7pm with bus available to drop people back at the station.

Places will be strictly limited to a maximum of 24.
Rooms will be allocated on a first come first serve bases
Rooms Are:
  Room 1 Sleeps 6 (6 single beds)
  Room 2 Sleeps 6 (6 single beds)
  Room 3 Sleeps 2 (double bed)
  Room 4 Sleeps 2 (double bed)
  Room 5 Sleeps 3 (1 double, 1 single bed)
  Room 6 Sleeps 5 (5 single beds and en-suite shower)
 
The cost of this weekend will be between £150 & £200 per person. This will include full accommodation, all food (vegetarian options will also be available) excursion costs and transport to / from train station if needed. The workshop is also at no additional cost.
 
a complementary glass of the finest mead will be given to all but if you want any other alcohol then please bring it yourself. We will run a shuttle bus to the local off license on Saturday for anyone wanting supplies.
